Goat Anti-Human Lambda Chain Antibody, AMCA, 0.5 mg, is prepared by hyperimmunizing animals in a manner that produces high-affinity antibodies. These are then purified by affinity chromatography to remove any low-affinity antibodies and by solid-phase adsorption techniques to remove cross-reactivities. The final product is subjected to rigorous QC, including immunodiffusion, solid-phase enzyme immunoassays, gel electrophoresis, and solid-phase binding assays. During antibody labeling, great care is taken to ensure the maximum degree of labeling with no alteration in the specificity and affinity of the antibody. The labeled antibody then undergoes further QC, including immunohistochemical analysis. This antibody has been optimally labeled with AMCA to provide the brightest label for fluorescence microscopy. AMCA has an excitation maximum of 350 nm and an emission maximum of 450 nm.
