M.O.M. (Mouse on Mouse) Biotinylated Anti-Mouse IgG Reagent, 0.1 ml, is a modified secondary antibody that has been optimized specifically for use with other components of the Vector M.O.M. Immunodetection Kits. It is the same reagent contained in the Vector M.O.M. Immunodetection Kits (Cat. Nos. PK-2200, FMK-2201, and BMK-2202) that are designed to reduce endogenous mouse IgG staining when using mouse primary antibodies on mouse tissue. The inability of anti-mouse secondary antibodies to distinguish between a primary antibody produced in mice and the endogenous mouse immunoglobulins present in mouse tissue results in high background staining, which obscures specific staining. This problem can essentially be eliminated using Vector M.O.M. Immunodetection Kits that yield clear, crisp specific staining of the antigens of interest.
