Protocol

• Cell Migration Assembly kit contains the Oris™ Cell Seeding Stoppers for creating a detection zone at the center of each well in a 96-well plate
• Kit provides researchers with two options; coat the plate with an extracellular matrix component or use the coated plate provided to design an assay
• Create unique 3-dimensional overlays in each well and watch how cells invade and respond to various compounds (chemokinesis)
• An ideal alternative to the scratch assay for studying wound healing
• The detection zone created by the Oris™ stopper provides a consistent area for a 2-D closure assay
• Analyze cells using multiple fluorescent probes, labels or stains by using a microplate reader, microscope or high content imaging system
• Coat any extracellular matrix (ECM) or basement membrane extract (BME) on the plate to create a 2-D or 3-D environment for cell migration or cell invasion assays
• Achieve lower well-to-well CV's with the unique Oris™ assay design than with scratch assays
• Observe cells directly without interference from cell culture inserts or transmembrane devices; High Content Screening (HCS) and High Content Imaging (HCI) instrument compatibility
