Note that 1,2-diphenylhydrazine is an unstable compound that will oxidize to azobenzene, thereby decreasing the concentration of 1,2-diphenylhydrazine over time. For accurate calibration results, it is recommended that the concentrations of 1,2-diphenylhydrazine and azobenzene be combined.
