Tryptic Soy Broth [USP Grade], Dry, 250 g

Tryptic Soy Broth (TSB) is used in cultivation of wide variety of microorganisms including several fastidious organisms without the need of serum. Organisms such as Clostridia and non-sporulating anaerobes grow luxuriantly in this broth when incubated under anaerobic conditions. Tryptic Soy Broth [USP Grade], Dry conforms to the USP grade. It is a general-purpose medium and not intended for use in diagnosis or other conditions in human.

Preparation:

• Dissolve 30 g of Tryptic Soy Broth [USP Grade], dry in endotoxin free purified water.
• Stir to dissolve, Check and adjust pH to 7.3±0.2 if required
• Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.

Application(s)

• Suitable for cultivation of wide variety of organisms including several fastidious organisms without the need of serum.
• Used for testing bacterial contaminants in cosmetics.
• Used by USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service for detecting viable bacteria in live vaccines.
