- J'sphere offers a choice from three kinds of ODS made from the same silica gel base, each with different ligand coverage
- Differences in ligand coverage considerably affect the hydrophobic retention behaviour of solutes, as well as the separation behaviour resulting from solute functional groups or tertiary structure.
- J'sphere is useful for the optimization of separation conditions, since there is almost no need to consider interactions other than hydrophobic and hydrogen-bonding interactions (e.g., ionic or coordinate interaction).
